Vanity in a Haircut

I got my hair done today. It is more curly, because I told her I was tired of the fuzzy brushed wool look it had and if it had to have layers and be short, then do it. The front is shorter, back is still long but layered. I don't know if I can duplicate this look, but I am armed with mousse for the morning. We'll see. I don't have a diffuser for my hair dryer, so I may be scrunching my hair all morning. Mr D says he has one, but he doesn't know where it is. I have until after our vacation to make up my mind whether I need (or want) one. This is a personal deadline, not something he's put up.

With no further ado, pictures. Last one is of me back in December, the first time she colored my hair. Because of the contrast in texture. I swear, there was no perm, no curling iron, no rollers. It just started doing this. And I know I am a ham. The shots of me inside are on the stairs, so please ignore that double chin. Mr D was two steps down from me and I was totally trying to amuse him. The outside ones are in my backyard, which by the way my dad tells me we had another deer come through on Tuesday. Please note I had my hair done before noon, and these were all taken after 5, plus after a few windy rides in the car on the freeway. It's less curly and volume than I had when I walked out of there. Which, I think, is a good thing. I don't know if I can recreate what she did, but I hope I can make it look like it's supposed to, rather than like I just forgot to comb my hair.

This so reminds me of a friend of mine. I've got her attitude in this picture. She's a New Yorker, so I'm not sure if that's good or not, but she's gorgeous so I don't at all mind reminding myself of her. Um. Onward.

Yes, my eyebrows are totally uneven. It runs in the family. I still really like this one.

See? Uneven. This is also the look I tend to have when I'm being absent-minded.

This is not to show you how big my nostrils are, but rather that the back is considerably longer than the front. Not sure I like this, but I'm going to live with it for awhile and see.

This shows how straight my hair was. This is post-cut, pre-color.

That's it for now. My mind is busy, but I'm really tired and I want to go read. Have a good evening!
